Peanut (or Almond) Butter Cups

Years ago, candy was almost a food group for me, I’d eat some every day! Working next to a 7-11 helped maintain my sugar habit. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were one of my favorites.

Amazingly YUMMY and HEALTHY!

I still enjoy homemade, healthy sweets every now and then. I love it when I find a treat has ingredients full of healthy fat, and nothing fake, or processed.

I found a recipe awhile back from Oatmeal with a Fork that I tweaked to satisfy my taste buds. It is quick, easy, and doesn’t even require using your oven!

It’s so simple, I bet many of you have the ingredients in your pantry right now. I usually make a double batch because we practically inhale them! I’ve made them for guests, and they are always a big hit. So don’t file this away for later, make it now, you won’t be disappointed! Continue reading

The more I learned the truth about the factory food system, it encouraged me to explore my organic, local food options. Gaining knowledge about real food, and sustainability sparked my interest in growing my own food. I want to be able to teach my children the things I’m learning. These are just a few things that gave me the “homesteading” bug, but I had no idea of the other fun things came along with homesteading. Continue reading
